The Derwent Manor Hotel, Allensford, are holding a Masquerade Ball to raise money for Tilly's campaign. Tickets cost £45 and include a 4 course meal, live entertainment, auction, raffle & suprise guests! View the poster for further details.
A visit from Denise Welch – Denise visited Tilly recently to share ideas for the Tilly Lockey trust and offer her support. She has also completed a celebrity hand casting for the upcoming auction!
Huge thanks to everyone at the Johnathon Ross show (Mary in particular!) - who invited us down to get castings from Johnathon, Sir Alan Sugar and the one and only Johnny Vegas!
WE'VE GONE PAST 50 HAND PRINTS!!!
We've just recieved our 50th celebrity hand print - none other than that of JK Rowling! It's absolutely fantastic and we're very excited to see how much it'll go for!
On
Monday 22nd January 2007 Adam and Sarah Lockey were
told Tilly had little chance of survival after contracting
group B meningococcal septicaemia. Four weeks in
Newcastle General Hospital and 10 blood transfusions
later she miraculously pulled through! 17-month-old
Tilly lost both hands and all her toes as a result
of the disease and now faces numerous challenges...
We’re appealling
to celebrities and sports personalities to donate
a signed hand print. The prints will then be auctioned
off with the proceeds going to help buy Tilly new
prosthetic hands. We’ve put together a small printing
kit so it’s easy-peasy to get involved!!!
We've also teamed up with Photography for Little People, who have kindly donated their clay casting services as an alternative method for celebs to produce a
hand print.
We're going to be holding a massive auction one night in February 2009 (date to follow), where the prints and casts will go to the highest bidders. The night itself is looking like it's going to be a tremendous night of fun and frolics - a few celebs have already confirmed they'll be attending too! We'll post information about how to get hold of a ticket on the site soon.
In the meantime wny not let us know what you'd be prepared to bid for any of the prints and casts? We're hoping to get to the actual date of the auction with a number of starting bids that'll help get the ball rolling!
We're also wondering if it'd be a good idea to exhibit them in a gallery space a few weeks prior to the auction night too? Any suggestions are welcome!!!
